Sania

| MARKETER Sania-Mania Manics What’s the whole mania about Sania? I don’t assume even breath-taking court-stopper legends like Steffi Graf and Chris Evert obtained the maddening amount of attention like the best way Sania gets in India… She’s a mean player who simply needs to be left alone to her recreation..and never left to some million bunches of voyeurs in our nation…The greatest joke is when she opens her gob and Plop! â€" What spits out is her really amusing faux Americanized accent. Hyderabadi potti going Western potty. And yeah these ‘I wanna be an Indian Anna Kournikova version’ outfits. Not to neglect, what’s with these nose-rings?..Globalizing Indian nose-rings huh? Anyways, she’s free to reside her life the best way she wants it too…And it’s actual cool to see a younger girl pursue her desires and obtain it too…But I still can’t assist laughing at her pretend accent…. I am touched to the quick by your carping coments about her accent, outfit and nosering. And she is not trying to be an Anna Kournikova. We, her fans, have created this halo around her pretty head. She does look fetching though! Noserings are traditionally worn by her community and there is no want for her to cast it away. It could also be a problem when she has a cold but definitely not an impeiment to weilding the racket. If she may give a fright to Venus Williams within the Austraian open and beat former World No. 1 Martina Hingis in Seoul, this slip of a lady has some stuff in her. Heres How to Avoid the Job Search Black Hole

Heres How to Avoid the Job Search Black Hole Heres How to Avoid the Job Search Black Hole Luckily, there are steps you can take to guarantee you don't sit in radio quietness after you present your application to a forthcoming new position. We separated it into a few simple steps. The most effective method to Avoid the Job Search Black Hole Focus on what the business is requesting. Commonly a vocation posting will characterize precisely what the organization would like to find in an application. In case you're required to round out an application, round out the same number of fields as you can rather than simply transferring your resume or introductory letter into the record transfer field. In case you're approached to apply with only an introductory letter, invest energy creating one that is special, attentive, and instructive. Be delicate to arranging as well, Robin Madell wrote in a U.S. News World Report article. Extra fancy odds and ends on your resume like logos, diagrams and concealing are an ill-conceived notion with an electronic framework, since the ATS will most likely be unable to enlist them. Clicking the auto apply button and ignoring significant application guidelines won't help you when you're planning to shield your application from getting sucked into a dark gap. Alter your resume and introductory letter for each activity posting. Utilize a portion of similar words and expressions that show up in the activity posting in your resume, Rosemary Haefner, VP of HR at CareerBuilder.com, said in an article on Forbes.com. The PC will at that point remember them and push your resume toward the highest point of the heap since you will be a match. In any case, don't simply eliminate and glue the position posting into your resume or introductory letter. On the off chance that the PC doesn't get it, the employing director unquestionably will, and it could hurt your odds of pushing ahead with a meeting, she said. Other than utilizing innovation to get your application to the front of the line, recruiting directors will have the option to tell that you've created an insightful application and it will build your odds of being perceived as an extraordinary fit. Edit, edit, edit. Triple watch that you haven't made any syntactic or spelling blunders one little error could cost your odds of accepting a meeting demand. Undoubtedly, it's in every case best to have a companion or relative edit your resume and introductory letter for you before you send it. Use your system. The work doesn't end after you've applied. Having a contact, regardless of whether individual or expert, is a significant relationship to use getting your resume into the correct hands. The most ideal approach to ensure your resume is seen is by systems administration into the company, said Anita Attridge, a Five O'Clock Club profession and official mentor, in the Forbes article. Let your systems administration contact realize that you have gone after a job, and inquire as to whether the person in question would send your resume to the H.R. division with an underwriting of you as a candidate. Another route is to attempt to figure out who the recruiting director is and send a resume straightforwardly to that individual, with a letter requesting an educational meeting. Odds are you may not be the best fit for the activity, however on the off chance that anything, your contact can tell you how the recruiting procedure is going so you're not sitting in obscurity. Development. I think resumes end up in the resume dark opening if the individual just reacts to a posting or advertisement and does nothing else, Attridge told Forbes. Put forth the additional attempt to get in contact with the organization's HR office or recruiting director. In the event that you secured the position posting on LinkedIn, have a go at sending a keen In-Mail to the recruiting chief or expert who distributed the post. Take a stab at calling the HR office to see where they are in the employing/talk with process. Mary Elizabeth Bradford, creator of The Career Artisan, told Forbes that adopting a forceful strategy can take care of well. I figure it is pointless to call H.R. what's more, leave rehashed voice messages, she said in the article. A superior path is to contact a key chief through hard mail and catch up with a call. Go around H.R. That is provocative, isn't that so? All things considered, it works. Look at These Additional Resume Tips

5 Common Mistakes in Elevator Pitches

5 Common Mistakes in Elevator Pitches Elevator pitches have various names and they are also sometimes referred to as infomercials Remember, first impressions count. One, mistake and you can potentially ruin a relationship or at least a conversation with a person. Make your elevator pitch memorable and memorize it. I remember some great elevator pitches that I have heard while Ive been networkingmake yours memorable! Lets review five common mistakes that people make when delivering an elevator pitch. Not including KPIS Or Metrics. These are especially important if you are in a metric driven business such as sales or marketing where you need to drop in some metrics because metrics sell. We hire people who can make money or who can save money and eliminate headcount, et cetera. The list goes on and on and on so include some performance related KPIs or metrics. Not Explaining YOUR VALUE. Everyone has value. You need to express that value. You need to think about that value and then you need to exude it in the conversation, in an elevator pitch. Talk about your value; do not undersell yourself. Focusing Only on NOW. You want to include your past and your future. Express it very clearly, very succinctly and do not ramble on, and on. You need to rehearse this and make it memorable. The Pitch is Too Long. I would say do not go any longer than 90 seconds. You can sell yourself quite eloquently, quite confidently, quite clearly in that amount of time. People dont want to listen longer than that. Remember to make it very, very striking, very engaging, very resonating. Not Enough Passion and Eloquence. You need to be passionate. You need to deliver your elevator pitch with a little bit of flare. Use your arms to gesticulate but dont flail all over the place. Just really give an emphasis on what a great person you are. Two years prior, when most American Gen Zers (characterized as overview respondents who are 22 years of age currently) were still in school, they were particularly cool to spending adulthood in an office, however that is changed a considerable amount. Millennial inclinations likewise moved, yet the other way â€" which could give the most youthful yield of laborers a favorable position while competing for occupations in increasingly customary work environments that esteem representative exposure. In 2014, only 16% of Gen Z individuals said that working in an office would be their business inclination. Only two years after the fact, that has hopped by an entire 20 rate focuses to 36%. Then, the quantity of twenty to thirty year olds (those matured 23 to 34) who said that a corporate office was their favored workspace fell by 10 rate focuses, to 37%. Peruse Next: Here's the Easiest Way for Millennials to Become Millionaires The intrigue of collaborating spaces seems, by all accounts, to be on the melt away among both segment gatherings, with littler quantities of the two Generations Y and Z communicating an inclination for this sort of customary work course of action. In spite of the fact that the quantity of recent college grads who lean toward a home office almost multiplied among 2014 and this year, the intrigue among Gen Z individuals was about level. Those inclinations may be educated by how each gathering likes to impart, and what sort of work environment collaboration they esteem most. Albeit both age bunches state that the work itself is the top motivation for their imagination, both acknowledge their partners as a nearby second. The two gatherings veer with regards to informal organizations, however. The two Generations Y and Z float towards Facebook the most, yet it's increasingly famous with twenty to thirty year olds. Gen Z shows a slight inclination for Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Reddit, and they're to some degree more probable than their more established collaborators to reprimand internet based life for diverting them during the workday. Gen Y's interpersonal organization inclinations tend more towards LinkedIn and Pinterest. While twenty to thirty year olds additionally banner long range informal communication as their top at-work interruption, they're likewise five rate guides likelier than Gen Z toward censure email for their wrecked fixation. Regardless of the draw of online networking to separate the dullness of their employments, the most loved method of correspondence for the two gatherings is face to face. Gen Y is more alright with email and telephone correspondence than their more youthful partners, however. With regards to speaking with their managers, the two gatherings are in understanding that in-person is the best approach to a significantly more noteworthy degree. Peruse Next: Millennials Want Peace and Quiet at Work, Not Free Snacks Youthful grown-up laborers may buck the desire that they lean toward messaging to talking, however twenty to thirty year olds do hold up one generalization: They want hand-holding in the working environment. In 2014, 47% of recent college grads said they needed to be coached by their supervisors, a figure that really crawled up by one rate point in the current year's overview, despite the fact that these laborers have two additional long periods of work understanding under their belts, and many are in any event, turning out to be directors themselves. Gen Z, then again, is spreading its wings substantially more rapidly. In 2014, 69% said they needed coaching; this year, that is fallen a noteworthy 20 rate focuses to 49%, putting them about comparable to their more seasoned associates. How to Deal With a Micromanaging Boss Who Slows You Down - The Muse

The most effective method to Deal With a Micromanaging Boss Who Slows You Down - The Muse The most effective method to Deal With a Micromanaging Boss Who Slows You Down There's nothing left to handle on your daily agenda. Shockingly, it's not on the grounds that you've been a profitability hotshot. This is on the grounds that each and every thing on your rundown is at a halt pending an endorsement, alters, or direction from your chief. Supervisors regularly do this with good motivations. They need to see, audit, and support everything that leaves the office to ensure it's as well as can be expected be. In any case, during the time spent doing that, messages develop in their inboxes, and representatives lounge around, hanging tight for the endorsements they have to proceed onward with their undertakings. How would you handle a bottleneck that is obstructing your capacity to complete your work? Here are a couple of tips to manage a micromanaging chief. Plan for It You realize that companion who's late to everything? She's the person who says I'm nearly there! when she hasn't pulled out of her garage yet. You may manage her interminable delay for some time, yet when you know there's a significant occasion that she completely possesses to be on energy for-like your wedding-you reveal to her that it begins an hour sooner than it really does. And afterward she shows up consummately on schedule. Similarly, you need to prepare when you realize you're going to experience a bottleneck. That could, for instance, mean getting the report into your supervisor's inbox seven days sooner than you in any case would, to dispense some additional time for the person in question to survey and support it. Or on the other hand, in case you're composing an organization pamphlet, perhaps you get your chief's endorsements on every one of the story thoughts before you really begin composing as opposed to attempting to finish the whole bulletin and afterward introducing it to her endorsement, constraining a tight cutoff time that presumably won't be met. Remind, Remind Again The most terrible thing you can do is send a solicitation or task to your supervisor by email, and afterward basically pause (and pause, and pause) for a reaction. That is essentially asking for your undertaking to get trapped in the bottleneck. At the base of the issue, your supervisor is most likely occupied (and maybe somewhat disordered)- and that implies that the person may require an update or two to ensure errands get practiced. Along these lines, possibly you email your supervisor on Monday evening with your solicitation or task for survey. On Tuesday, as you pass by his office during lunch, you stop in and state, Simply needed to advise you that I need your audit and endorsement on the Smith proposition by end of day on Wednesday-it's in your inbox now. And then Wednesday morning, you fly in again to ask, Will you have the option to get me your progressions and endorsement this evening? I can re-send on the off chance that you need. I know, it sounds irritating. Be that as it may, to be honest, your supervisor will probably value the updates and on the off chance that it causes you get what you need, it's at last helping your chief (and the whole office) succeed. Request to Take the Lead While unmistakably your administrator wants to audit and support everything that experiences the division, on the off chance that you cause the person in question to feel progressively positive about your capacities, the individual might be eager to give over control. For instance, I as of late had a chief who got a kick out of the chance to have the last gander at everything my group and I recorded to the most commonplace messages and it was essentially hindering everybody's advancement. I at long last took a risk holding fast on a little task I realized I had nailed: Hello Lisa, there are two online class welcomes that are expected today. I checked on the duplicate and there were not many alters. I realize you have a great deal on your plate as of now; would it be OK in the event that I felt free to push them ahead? She (to some degree hesitantly) concurred, and I was at long last ready to check that thing off my daily agenda and she saw that it ended up being great. When I had tried things out, I gradually began feeling increasingly certain about creation those approaches different assignments: I don't think this one needs your audit, so I will feel free to finish it. Is that OK? And more often than not, she concurred. Certainly, in the event that we were composing an extensive email correspondence in the interest of the official group, we'd need her endorsement. In any case, on the off chance that I was making minor alters to a current deals pamphlet or PowerPoint deck, she concurred that she didn't have to audit. What's more, that opened up her time and relaxed the bottleneck. Have a Frank Conversation Obviously, your supervisor might be all the more a fanatic and their reaction to your endeavor to evade the built up procedure might be, No, I despite everything need to survey it. I'll get to it when I can. All things considered, you have to address the issue all the more straightforwardly. During your routinely planned one-on-one gathering (on the off chance that you don't have one set up-you should), raise the issue and how it's influencing the group: I realize you have many undertakings and assignments that are hanging tight for audit. Is there a way we can make the procedure progressively productive? Is there anything I can do exclusively to make it simpler on you? For instance, perhaps she'd favor you to determine the cutoff time in the headline of your email, so she can organize her inbox dependent on what's expected right away. Or then again, perhaps your manager would lean toward that you carry a rundown of pending things to a week by week registration meeting, and you can address any inquiries and promptly verify endorsements as you go. However, regardless of whether you can't decide a quick arrangement, alarming your supervisor legitimately will support the person in question understand it's not simply an issue of disorder or a flooding inbox-it's a difficult that is affecting the whole group's efficiency. What's more, that can be the reminder your supervisor needs to make sense of an answer. Photograph of hose trickle kindness of Shutterstock.

Your Online Doppelgänger A Good or Bad Version of The Real You - Pathfinder Careers

Your Online Doppelgänger A Good or Bad Version of The Real You - Pathfinder Careers Your Online Doppelgänger: A Good or Bad Version of The Real You? I was at a gathering as of late and throughout a break out meeting via web-based networking media, we were discussing how much (or little) of the 'genuine you' ought to be uncovered on the web. Everybody around the table had Facebook profiles, however a few people uncovered that they really had two distinct ones; one that is business-related and the other secured to dear companions just… essentially in light of the fact that they feared the world seeing the 'genuine' individual who communicated musings and thoughts. The second profile was created on the grounds that these people would not like to stress over expert repercussions. That being stated, if the desire is that we should be as credible and veritable as we are, all things considered… At that point for what reason would we say we are being advised to keep down and play the 'proficient card'… and post nothing that uncovers what we REALLY are thinking or saying? Great inquiry. What would YOU like to do? There still are a terrible parcel of others out there who are uninformed of the way that their tweets or posts are turning out to be a piece of their online advanced journal that is everlastingly being recorded. With 4 out of 5 bosses utilizing web based life to become familiar with planned contender for occupations, the online variant of these individuals could end up being not actually what that organization had at the top of the priority list… in view of the communicated assessments of the candidate in the internet. Others, then again, conspicuously couldn't care less about what others may see or consider them. Damn the torpedoes, they state. I am who I am, and I won't apologize for it. They are stubborn as a feature of their own image, and that very explanation is the thing that draws in individuals to them â€" these individuals will say it as is it. It resembles a much needed refresher in an ocean of vanilla-like individuals reluctant to 'cause trouble.' So how can it be that a few people can pull off this disposition and appear to be impenetrable? Consider this: There is extremely just one guideline that truly commands how to deal with this: You can't play the two sides of the fence and afterward attempt to chill out. You need to pick one that you need to mirror your own persona, and afterward go for it reliably. Take Laurie Ruettimann of The Cynical Girl for a model. She's been an expert HR administrator and is currently a speaker, essayist, and vocation industry master. In any case, she is likewise shamelessly immediate, stubborn, and utilizes a few words that others may flinch at finding in her blog. Be that as it may, guess what? That is unadulterated Laurie. I've never met her, however her trustworthiness, certainty, and cleverness all meet up into her own image that is drawing in and mercilessly honest. And she stands up for herself in a positive way from a place of power, commitment, and aptitude while serving it straight up. Not every person can be this open. So what amount do you need your online doppelgänger to mirror the 'great' or awful form of the genuine you? Where do you figure the line ought to be drawn? Do you keep up double online characters… the 'genuine' you or the 'proficient' you?

How to Protect Your Business From Data Leakage - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

How to Protect Your Business From Data Leakage - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career Data leaks happen, and sometimes, no matter what you do, they are inevitable. That said, you should always do what you can to protect and secure your interests and, more importantly, your sensitive and personal information. When it comes to managing a business, you have the sensitive data of your customers, clients and employees to worry about as well. Since data leaks can come from a number of different sources, it can be difficult trying to plug up all the holes. Leaks can happen due to network or database intrusions, employee security breaches or negligence, unsecured web and email browsing and more. That’s exactly why you should be doing everything in your power to prevent information loss. There are so many vulnerabilities that if you don’t stay on top of them, you’re just going to fall by the wayside. To offer some guidance, we compiled a list of tips that can help prevent data leakage. Take Initial Preventative Measures Good security is as much about preparation before an attack as it is about how you react after one. To better understand how you can prevent data leakage, you must first identify where it’s coming from and what that data is. For example, sensitive information and data can be contained in databases, emails, devices such as smartphones or PCs, web portals and much more. In addition, because there are many types of data, you might be better off treating each differently. Social security numbers or credit card information are much more dangerous in the wrong hands than, say, an email address. You don’t want to treat all data the same, as you may need a separate set of controls or security measures for really important stuff. You can implement tools that will help scan where your data resides on a company network, such as the kind offered by Tablus, Reconnex and Websense. Sit down and plan out beforehand what kind of preventative measures you’re going to take to secure your data and network. Will you use data encryption? What kind of security systems are you going to install for internal networks and hardware? Which users will have access to the highest levels of sensitive data and who will be monitoring them? This is also a good time to mention that you should always do a background check and personality profile on employees before giving them access to sensitive information. It is just as possible to have an internal breach as an external one. Don’t Forget to Secure Back-End Connections When security is discussed or implemented, it often pertains to front-end applications or software, the general network and select devices, but those are all relatively obvious. One area that’s often overlooked is related to back-end connections or administrative panels. Through the use of a Virtual Identity Server or VIS, the same amount of security can be applied to back-end connections for any software application or network setup. It works similar to a firewall, with the exception that it filters and restricts data access as necessary. In other words, platforms and devices are given exactly the right permissions needed to operate â€" no more and no less. This helps prevent data leakage by limiting the amount of information being passed around on the back-end of a system. Always Use Encryption While encryption isn’t totally uncrackable, you’ll be a great deal safer with it than without. Sadly, a lot of companies and management teams feel that encryption is intrusive, thanks to slow-activating processes and complicated implementation methods. That doesn’t change the fact that you should be using it to protect any sensitive data or information you have stored, no matter how big your business is. “Even if you’re a small business, you’re still subject to the Data Protection Act,” says Sian John, a security expert working at  Symantec. “The law requires that you protect personal data from being stolen, misused or shared. If you have customer details stored on your computer, then using encryption allows you to say: ‘I’ve taken precautions to ensure that personal data doesn’t get lost.’” Encryption can cause problems with gateway security products, but a way around that would be to employ encrypted transmission protocols for your network like SSH or SCP. It’s always a safe bet to ensure that stored or transmitted data is securely locked behind an encryption key. Monitor Network Access and Regular Activity Once you have a digital security plan in place, that’s not the end of it. You need to have a properly trained security and IT team to monitor network access and keep an eye on regular employee activity. This not only ensures that employees are on the up-and-up, but it also helps you protect against leaks better because while monitoring a network, you can identify compromised channels and take action much faster. A recent study revealed that 44% of employees share work-related devices with others without supervision, and 46% of employees admit they transfer files between work and personal computers when they are working out of the office. To drive that point home even more, 18 percent of employees share their private passwords with co-workers, allowing them access to their devices or accounts. All three of these scenarios could lead to compromised data in many forms. It’s a good idea to monitor what’s going on with your network and what your employees are doing with their devices, especially if they are transferring files or sharing passwords. That includes allowing your security team the right amount of leverage and controls to deny access to users, both foreign and domestic, in the event of a problem. In a situation like those described above, your security team either needs to take action by revoking access from the infringing user(s), or said users need to be educated further on how their actions could compromise the company. It is possible for a third party to take advantage of an employee’s negligence in order to gain access to sensitive data without their consent. Your employees should be made aware of this fact, and they should be trained to help prevent it. There are tools â€" from vendors such as Vericept, Oakley Networks, Vontu and more â€" that can monitor outgoing traffic on a network and flag suspicious activity. They can inspect channels like email, web browsing, FTP applications and even peer-to-peer file-sharing software for infringing data. When someone is identified, the tools will notify the appropriate authorities so they may take action. If your business operates a large-scale network or you have a great deal of employees, it might be easier to go with an automated monitoring system such as this. Either way, you need to pay close attention to what’s happening on your network and how data is being used by those who have access to it. Without doing this, you’re leaving yourself open to attack.

How to Start a Job Search 7 Steps - Career Sidekick

How to Start a Job Search 7 Steps - Career Sidekick How to Start a Job Search: 7 Steps Applying for Jobs / https://www.edenscott.com/blog Its tempting to start applying for jobs immediately when you decide you want to start a job search. However, there are a few key steps you should do BEFORE applying for any jobs and these steps will actually help you get hired in less time.So Im going to reveal what Id do if I were starting a job search today before sending out any resumes or applications. This is how to start a job search to set yourself up for successHow to Start a Job Search: 7 Steps Before You Start Applying1. Review your past success and accomplishmentsIf you just left a job or will be leaving one soon, the first thing you should do to get ready to start a job search is to think about what you accomplished. Its easy to lose track of these things as your career goes on, but theyre one of the best ways to make your resume stand out. You can put accomplishments in your resume intro/summary paragraph, your bullets, and more.So what did you actually achieve in your last job? This is diffe rent than what you were assigned to do, or responsible for, and is actually more important!Employers will be much more impressed by this type of data on your resume, rather than phrases like, responsible for2. Update your resumeAfter youve thought about some of your recent accomplishments in your last job or current job, its time to update your resume to attract employers.Put your most recent work, and make sure to includenumbers, facts and statistics whenever possible. If you want more help with writing an impressive resume Id recommend reading this full list of what should go on a resume. And for samples of good employment history sections that will get you interviews, read this article.Putting data on your resume is one of the best ways to stand out, so make sure youre adding as many pieces of data as you can dollar figures, percent increases, etc. other stats is a lot more impressive than saying top performer, etc.3. Update your LinkedInAfter youve got a resume youre happy with, you want to put some of that key information on your LinkedIn for your job search too. Most hiring managers are checking your LinkedIn even if you applied elsewhere, so its important to make sure this represents you as a professional and shows off some of your recent work.Put bullets and accomplishments from your resume into LinkedIn. Make sure you have a great photo, too. If you dont have a photo on LinkedIn, many recruiters and hiring managers will be suspicious that youre not a real person (fake accounts are somewhat common on all social networks, and LinkedIn is no different).Updating your LinkedIn is a key step for how to start a job search, so dont skip this.If youre not convinced, read this article on the 5 reasons you should use LinkedIn.And if you want more help setting up your LinkedIn, heres a list of everything to put on a LinkedIn profile.4. Brainstorm what type of companies you want to work forWhat type of job do you want? Do you want to stay in the same industry or not ? Employers arent going to interview you and hire you if you cant show them that youve thought about this.Skipping this step is one of the top reasons I see job seekers fail their interviews, or not even get interviews (because they cant explain this in cover letters, either).Employers dont want to hire someone whos desperate and will take any job they get. They want someone whos targeting specific things.Do not skip this step when planning to start your job search. Its absolutely crucial.Once youve thought about the general type of job you want (industry, function/role, etc.), you can start researching specific companies.I like to search on Google and LinkedIn.LinkedIn has a great feature where you view one companys profile, and it suggests six other similar companies that people also viewed (see the image below). You can view those six, and discover six more from each of those companies. Just keep branching out!On Google, try searching for things like List of pharmaceutical compani es in Boston or pharma companies in Boston, etc.5. Make a list of companies you want to apply toAs you find companies youd be interested in working for, put it all in an Excel spreadsheet or Google Sheet. Now you wont have to come back and find these companies again when youre ready to apply and take interviews. The minute youre ready, you can go to your list and start applying. Now, you may be thinking, Hold on, how do I know these companies are even hiring? It doesnt matter. Most successful companies are always growing, and sending them a great email with your resume and why youd love to work for them may get you the interview even if they havent posted a relevant job!!Sure, you can also search later for companies that have jobs posted online, but everyone does that so thats where its ultra-competitive.You can still do it, but do this as well. This is a key part of preparing to start a job search. Also now that you know what types of jobs you want to apply for, consider tailoringyour resume based on the specific roles you want.Sending out a generic resume to every employer is faster but its going to limit how many companiesrespond. Ive tried it both ways and have seen 4-times as many responses after tailoring my resume.6. Start networkingBefore you start applying for jobs and contacting these companies youve found in the steps above, think about who you know already.Do you have any friends/past coworkers that can help you get in touch with a couple of employers in your industry? When youre referred to a company by someone they know and trust, the entire process is MUCH easier. Youll get interviewed faster and often have a more relaxed, easier job interview, too (theyll ask easier questions and trust you more from the start).I wrote an article on why networking is the fastest way to find a job so if you want more info on this, go here. The bottom line is: You should always think if you know anyone you can contact directly to get introduced to a company before you a pply cold. This is a key step when youre ready to begin your search. The people who only apply online and dont do any networking often spend months longer in their job search. So your network is one of the first places you should look when starting a job search.7. Plan ahead for referencesReferences usually arent needed until the end of the job interview process. But if you want to speed through your job search, you might want to think about two or three people who you can use as references and ask if you have their permission. That way, when a company asks, youll be excited and ready to provide your references not nervous! While this final step isnt 100% necessary when starting a job search, its another way you can make the upcoming job hunt process easier for yourself.By the following the steps above, youll give yourself the best chance of success in your new job search. Its great to start applying for jobs as soon as you can, but preparing and doing a big of prep-work to start your j ob search is important as well.

Examples of Writing Advise in a Resume

Examples of Writing Advise in a ResumeIt is very important to take examples of writing accomplishments in a resume. This should include the kind of letter, or other writing that would speak for you, and not vice versa. There are many inefficiencies and mistakes that would be greatly avoided if one takes the time to learn about what writing accomplishments in a resume is all about. One of the most popular examples of writing accomplishments in a resume is the use of subliminal messaging. It may not be consciously thought about, but it is a big part of the grammar in resumes. Subliminal messages can be fairly simple or very complex. However, they all have the same goal, which is to create a negative impression on the reader, and usually subconsciously. The most successful subliminal message will likely be the one that includes information that is already on your resume. Many professionals write examples of writing accomplishments in a resume with wording such as, 'Completing an agreement for the last three years in a competitive job environment...' This is all well and good, except that someone may actually believe that you worked for such a company. This can certainly play into the negative impressions that you want to create. You could be speaking a common language to someone, and they will believe that you really did work for that company.Examples of writing accomplishments in a resume can be based off of a bit more high-concept concepts. A writer may use the example of a man that has been the head chef of a major hotel for more than 30 years. If you were to state in a resume that you had worked for the same hotel for the past three years, you will likely get a humorous response. However, if you state that you had worked in the same position for the past thirty years, the simple fact that you have been with the same company for that long should be considered. The common sense of the reader should win out, and you should receive a much more positive response. Writ ing examples of writing accomplishments in a resume that does not reflect the true state of your experience is not going to attract any clients to you.Examples of writing accomplishments in a resume that includes quotes are another way to get yourself noticed. There are many sources available online for a variety of quotes. The only caveat with this type of example of writing accomplishments in a resume is that a quote may not necessarily be from you, but rather a fictitious employee that you created. The only simple fact about the quote is that it does not have to be from you. Instead, the fake quote is a reminder of you to your reader. You can use this example of writing accomplishments in a resume in a lot of different ways. The key is to make sure that you avoid using a name or identifying information that is also on your resume.Examples of writing accomplishments in a resume can come from a variety of sources. Remember that the most successful examples of writing accomplishments in a resume are the ones that contain information that you have never told anyone else. Having your new skills and accomplishments spoken for you can be quite a boost to the professional image that you wish to present.

5 Things Employees Need To Understand About Personal Injury Claims CareerMetis.com

5 Things Employees Need To Understand About Personal Injury Claims â€" CareerMetis.com Most businesses out there are prone to personal injury claims. According to the law, a personal injury law enables a person with an injury to go to a local civil court and claim legal damages and remedies for all the losses that came from the accident. The very core of a personal injury system is for a victim to be “made whole” or compensated after they have suffered harm, one way or another due to intentional conduct or carelessness.evalWhile it’s not unavoidable for employees to get injured in the premises of their office, it’s every business owner’s responsibility to ensure that everything is working out smoothly, and limit the risk of acquiring a lawsuit.Business owners’ responsibilities for others are quite vast ? from visitors, employees, to next-door neighbors. They’re responsible for providing a safe working environment for everyone. Therefore, here are the essential things every business owner need to understand when it comes to personal injury claims:1) Neglige nce Can Result to LawsuitsevalBad things and accidents can happen in the workplace, leading victims to seek medical treatment. How can negligence from these accidents result in a lawsuit? More importantly, on what grounds will a company be legally responsible for an accident? There are four elements of negligence that leads to lawsuits:a legal duty of acting sensibly and deliberatelythe breach of duty or failure to act wisely and reasonablythe causal connection between the accident and the conductthe damages and loss the stemmed directly from the accidentAn individual or business is negligent if they fail to exercise care to avoid harm and injury to other individuals and their property. In other words, they were unable to do what a reasonable person would do given in a similar circumstance.2) Employees Can Be Responsible For Their AccidentsIf an accident happens in a business, owners should also investigate the situation as objectively as possible, especially if they have a suspicion of the other party of being at fault. Employers need to become unbiased to be able to identify certain holes in the procedure.Perhaps, the ideal places to start are the records for the training provided. Having tangible proof about a worker’s understanding can certainly tell a lot about the situation. Sometimes, after an intensive investigation, it’s later revealed that the employee is responsible for the incident.3) Employers Are Mandated To Provide Health and Safety Training for EmployeesevalEmployers have the legal responsibility of ensuring that their staff is receiving adequate safety and health training enabling them to improve their confidence and skills. Various legislations and regulations require businesses to provide essential information, supervision, and training to workers ensuring the overall safety and health of everyone in the workplace.Additionally, owners must also give the extra care of duty to particular members of the staff that are either new, pregnant, o r younger workers Employees also need to participate and help with inspection and monitoring. Reporting a malfunctioning device or equipment is vital to keeping everyone safe. Here are the essential purpose of inspections:to listen to concerns of supervisors and workersgain further knowledge of jobs and tasksidentifying already existing and potential hazardsfinding the underlying cause of these hazardssuggest corrective actionrecord and monitor the steps that are taken to control these risks and eliminate these hazards completelyTypes of hazards that may exist in a workplace:Safety hazards Companies spend a lot of time and effort building a stable and profitable business. However, lawsuits can ruin all those years of hard work, that’s why a lot of organizations are seeking personal injury liability insurance. These kinds of policies protect owners from liabilities if ever employees are injured at work, or as a result of something a business fails to do.It’s worth noting that alth ough a lot of insurances protects lawsuits, it won’t necessarily cover everything. Business owners should still head extra precautions to be able to prevent these injuries from happening. For example, if a company has been sued in the past, chances are, the insurance company might not fully cover the damages that are similar to the previous lawsuit. More often than not, they may charge even more. Also, an insurance company needs to be notified immediately for any threatened lawsuits and injuries that may occur. The Bottom LineEmployees have a right to work in a safe work environment. Therefore, business owners should be aware that their business is their responsibility. Should potential dangers arise, they need to fix the problems as soon as they come up, to hopefully keep them out from the court. It’s also their responsibility to protect their business and personal assets should a lawsuit arise. For a business to flourish and be well on its way to a legal and hassle-free future, it’s worth the investment to consult an experienced, highly qualified professional attorney who specializes in personal injury law as soon as possible after an accident or injury has happened. For employees who experienced a workplace injury, it is always best to consult to a personal injury lawyer at the same time.

Boomer Job Search

Boomer Job Search Marc Miller of Career Pivot discussed issues faced by Baby Boomers in job search. Boomer Job Search Certainly age discrimination is one  problem older job seekers face, but there are other underlying issues. Employers are afraid the older candidate wont be able to adapt to the new work environment very quickly, will lack key technical skills or will coast until they retire. There is also the issue that older job seekers are more expensive. (Right or wrong- perception is reality.) Marc is a Baby Boomer himself and during our discussion he outlines things job seekers should know and do to better adapt and succeed in job search. What is the top issue Baby Boomers have with the new world of job search? How often are Boomers ready to change jobs? Why should Boomers incorporate Twitter into their job search? We spent time talking about consulting and the pros and cons of being self-employed. We also talked about the power of Twitter (and social media) which enables everyone to easily start conversations with more people. The trick is in nurturing those relationships to the next level to establish trust. Have a watch (its 30 minutes). Marc is also the author of a new ebook, Personal Branding for Baby Boomers, available on Amazon.

Entry Level Resume Writing For Construction And Trades

Entry Level Resume Writing For Construction And TradesEntry level resume writing for construction and trades is one of the more difficult career areas to find a job in. People who are new to the industry are often ignored in their own fields of interest, even though they are as qualified as the professionals. The reason for this is because this is an entry level, or low-level, position. It's often harder to find work when you have no experience, and the skills and knowledge needed to land a job is usually lacking. If you are attempting to find a job, then you might be wondering what can you do in your field of interest to create an entry level resume that will get you noticed? One way to have an entry level resume that people see is to focus on your skills and interests first. This way, you will stand out among all the other candidates, and you can increase your chances of landing a job with your resume. If you are a home-based entrepreneur, you should start with your home-based busine ss. You'll need to document your success in the home-based business, and if you can show what you can do to help your customers, then your resume will look professional and you will stand out from the crowd.Another way to have an entry level resume that people will notice is to focus on the job duties that you will be doing. Once you have a good idea of what you will be doing on a daily basis, then you can show how well you are able to do it. In order to do this, you should have a written job description that details all the duties you will be performing. Then, you should include all of the qualifications you possess, so that you won't be forgotten. When you have done that, then you can start with the best part of your entry level resume, which is your job history. This should include any previous jobs you've had, your education and experience, and any awards or certifications you may have. You should also include any important references that you have.At the bottom of your entry lev el resume, you should include some information that will show people that you have done the research on your prospective employers, and that you are willing to put in the extra time to understand your career and what you can expect. A good resume will include the following: your education and degree, what you plan to do, what you've accomplished, what you can do for the company, and whether you've worked in the past for another company. This last point is very important, because your resume will contain your employer's contact information.Writing a strong entry level resume is easy when you put in the extra effort to do it right. The more you learn about your field of interest, the better prepared you will be to write a great job application. You will also increase your chances of landing a job with a good placement, as hiring managers recognize the hard work that you have put into your resume.
